IME BECAS Scholarship Grant

The IME Becas is a program funded by the Mexican government to assist students of Mexican origin who wish to further their education in the United States. It is important to note that since this is considered a *privately funded scholarship, undocumented students, including those that have or have not received DACA, would be eligible to apply and receive a scholarship.

*This scholarship qualifies under SB 253, which makes it so any student who graduates from a Utah high school IS NOT required to provide proof of lawful U.S. presence for scholarships in Utah’s public colleges or universities.

Criteria:

  • Mexican students of the First, Second, and 1.5 generations and Cache Valley residents.
  • Demonstrated financial need.
  • Participation in extracurricular activities, such as campus and community involvement, and/or responsibilities at home and/or work.

Complete the scholarship application no later than, Friday, November 17, 2017 and return it to the Access & Diversity Office in the TSC Roomm 315.
